The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement’s (LCLAA) 22nd National Membership Convention took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where union members showed solidarity and commitment to the island, nearly one year after Hurricane Maria. The AFL-CIO constituency group elected a new President, the first woman and immigrant to hold the position. Machinists Union members comprised the largest union delegation in attendance.
