Update on government glitch that threatens livelihoods of IAM-NFFE police officers

Filipe De La Cruz, a police officer at Camp Pendleton and a loyal IAM-NFFE member, was at the Winpisinger Center Training Center in Maryland. He gave the Machinist Union’s communications department an update about a heavily publicized accounting error by the U.S. government that devastated his local lodge. LCLAA Convenes in Puerto Rico

The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement’s (LCLAA) 22nd National Membership Convention took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where union members showed solidarity and commitment to the island, nearly one year after Hurricane Maria. The AFL-CIO constituency group elected a new President, the first woman and immigrant to hold the position. Machinists Union members comprised the largest union delegation in attendance.
