The IAM recognizes the youth of today will soon be the leadership of tomorrow. In an effort to tap into their energy and prepare them for the challenges of the future, the IAM is holding Young Workers Training Programs May 7-12 and September 24-29 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, MD.
Millennials are the largest population in today’s workforce. They have the numbers to influence public policy and change social norms.
“Young workers are extremely valuable and their potential contribution to this world and the Machinist Union is unmeasurable,” said IAM General Vice President Diane Babineaux. “This program helps get the youth of our union involved in the issues we all face.”
