Machinists Call on Boeing to Negotiate in South Carolina

After voting nearly two-to-one for the IAM, Boeing Flight Line Technicians in South Carolina officially have the legal right to negotiate a better life for themselves and their families.

“The Machinists Union represents 35,000 members at Boeing locations throughout the nation,” said Mike Evans, IAM Boeing SC Lead Organizer. “For some reason, Boeing executives are choosing to ignore the wishes of hard-working men and women in South Carolina.

Boeing has refused to bargain while their yet-to-be-filed appeal is being reviewed by the NLRB.

“Boeing workers in South Carolina have the same rights to freedom at work as every American worker,” said Evans. “We will continue to call on Boeing to treat every worker with respect and join us at the negotiating table to continue our partnership for the betterment of every Boeing employee.”
